Its hard to believe but over 75% of the public does some sort of pest control from time to time in their homes or apartments.  This is why I decided to open a store for the do-it-yourselfer.
A little over 20 years ago, I set up such a store and called it The Pest Shop, Inc.   It was the first do-it-yourself store that was run by professional exterminators.   After being in Dallas for over 10 years, I moved my operation to Plano, Texas.   The reason why I opened such a store was to give you, the home owner a place to obtain the proper products and at the same time, learn the "tricks of the trade" from me.  How many times have you been able to get good advice at one of the chain mega hardware stores?  Just last week I had a customer bring in a worker termite and the home owner was told that it was a weevil.

My philosophy is that if you are going to control a pest, you better knows what species it is.  There is a big difference in treatment techniques for the German roach verses the Smoky brown roach.

At the Pest Shop, Inc. we offer FREE insect identification when you bring your insect pest into the store.  The best way to preserve them is to place them in a jar of rubbing alcohol.  Never use scotch tape for it is impossible to ID the specimen.   In most cases, I will be able to identify your pest with the help of my trusty 30X Stereoscope.  At 51, my eyes are not as sharp as they used to be.

Our retail store is stocked with traditional products as well as low-impact and non-chemical products.  At the present time we carry over 100 items to help you in controlling your pests whether they be insects, rodents, snakes, or spiders.
